A History of Innovation and Growth
Founded in 1964, Borla began by manufacturing plastic and rubber components for medical applications. The company strategically expanded with the acquisition of the Borla Gomma di Varese facility in Italy in 1972, specializing in natural latex and synthetic rubber molding.
In 1991, Borla went global by acquiring the Listal facility in Ireland, known for insert molding with membrane or filter media. Expansion continued in 1998 with offices in California and a distribution center in Memphis, USA, followed by new trade offices in Brazil and Japan in 2007.
In 2008, Borla acquired Comef in Modena, Italy, which specializes in dialysis kit components, blood infusion and transfusion accessories, and extracorporeal circulation connectors. This was followed by the acquisition of Yukon Medical in North Carolina, USA, in 2010, focusing on innovative pharmaceutical preparation and delivery devices. Most recently, in 2023, Borla acquired Phoenix Rovigo, a producer of flow regulators that complement its existing product line.
Today, Borla operates four production facilities at its headquarters in Turin, Italy, equipped with eight fully automated clean rooms for molding and assembly. With a history of success, Borla continues to lead in innovation and technology.
